Happy New Year everybody!! It has been nearly 2 months since my last post.....in that time I have mostly been eating, drunking sleepining and SNOWBOARDING! Woohoo!

I flew back yesterday from France and suffering from post holiday blues....big time! So what better way to cheer myself up than to launch back into the wonderful marathon training (it was tough!).

Little under 3 miles this morning mostly sweating out genepi and raclette cheese!

I thought i would entertain you with a little video of my snowboarding triumphs!! Hopefully this will make up for my lack of posts...??

Stay tuned as I have a whole lot of training to catch up on and there is no slacking now at the time of posting this I have only...... 3 months, 13 days, 22hours and 30 seconds to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having some trouble uploading the video but it will be on her soon I promise in the mean time you can check it out on facebook if you are lucky enough to be my friend!!

WOOHOO!! In my excitement of running so far today i forgot to mention the first donation on my sponsorship page has been made!! Click on the tab to the right to view my donation amount and the incredible addition which is made by gift aid!! Thanks!!

Pompey Ponder.

Today I am posting this from Portsmouth, and as you can see it was a lovely day for a run around Langston Harbour!

Those of you who are not so familiar with the area, Langston Harbour lies between Portsmouth and Chichester harbour and is home to a large nature reserve. I'm sure there were a few bird watchers sniggering as this big yellow bird trundled her way 6 miles through the grasses!

I felt good running today and soothed my saddle sores away! It was nice to have a change of scenery and fresh air, than running parallel to traffic congested roads in Twickenham!!
I have attached the route i took today, i recommend the site- http://www.mapmyrun.com/, very easy to use and good to follow your progress and keep your mile count up!!

Woohoo, Welcome to my blog people

Welcome to week 3 of my mile build of to the London Marathon 2009. This site is the latest technique I am using in a attempt to motivate my ass to keeping to its schedule!!
So far I have used various excuses to get out of training- Need to buy new outfits, new trainers, Oh i need to map a new run, Uh... ladies problems... Oh its too windy!!
But hopefully the fact that i know your eyes are on me and you're ready to hurl abuse should you feel Im slacking....I will stick to it!!
I plan to update this site with my training routes, lycra shots (oh yeah!!) and progress!
I am training for 6 months AND running the 26.2 miles for MACS, a charity which supports children and their families who are born with no eyes, small eyes and limited sight, the website motivated me to embark on this great test of endurance to which I am fortunate enough to be able to participate!
So far I have kitted myself out, mapped a load of runs and girly ran approximately 15 miles per week. Alongside this (I must have been feeling energetic....!) I am cycling in training for Lands End to John O Groats (hence the goofy pic) and today was my initiation ride to which I have discovered the the importance of padding, the bigger the better....(the type you would get in a boxing glove!!!!)
I hope you enjoy following my progress and log on to give me much needed encouragement, i cant promise it will be plain sailing..... look forward to more blisters and joys of sudocrem!!
